If you’ve only seen multi-day epoxy jobs, a one-day garage floor sounds like a shortcut. It isn’t. The speed comes from the coating chemistry, not from skipping steps. Here’s exactly what a one-day install looks like.
The six steps, start to finish
- Moisture test. Before anything else, we test the slab. If it isn’t a good candidate, we tell you — we don’t coat a floor that’s going to fight us.
- Diamond grind. We mechanically grind the concrete to open the surface profile so the coating bonds into the slab, not just onto it. This is the step cheap jobs fake with an acid wash.
- Repair. Cracks and chips get filled and ground flush.
- Polyurea base coat. The base goes down and soaks into that freshly ground profile for a deep mechanical bond.
- Flake broadcast. We broadcast your chosen flake blend into the wet base to full refusal, then scrape and prep for topcoat.
- Polyaspartic topcoat. The clear topcoat locks everything in and gives you the hard, UV-stable, easy-clean surface.
Why it cures in hours, not days
Polyurea and polyaspartic are fast-cure by nature. Epoxy needs long open times and multiple days; polyaspartic kicks in a fraction of that. That’s the entire reason a full system can go down in a single day and be ready for foot traffic that night. Walk on it tonight, park on it in 24 hours.
What we need from you
An empty garage. The slab has to be clear for us to grind and coat it edge to edge. If moving everything out is a hassle, we arrange a local moving/POD partner at booking so you’re not hauling shelves and totes by yourself — just ask when we set your date.
Does faster mean weaker?
